This half day course focuses on the key elements of integrity in decision-making, targeted primarily at regulatory agencies (staff, management and executive). The course can be tailored to different audiences.
COURSE OUTLINE
This half-day course covers the following

Foundational understanding of the role and importance of regulation and regulatory agencies

The management of threats to integrity in regulatory settings

Management of the regulatory role/roles alongside other agency mandates and work programmes

Moderating the influence of commercial interests on regulatory decision making
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Participants will gain further understanding of the following matters, with a focus on being able to directly apply them in operational settings

The importance of integrity in regulatory decision making

How to anticipate and monitor threats to integrity

Appreciate the risks to integrity that arise in common agency activities (e.g., recruitment, communications, risk assessment, performance reporting, and engagement with regulated parties)

How to respond to such threats and develop practical approaches to managing them
SUITABLE FOR
Elected representatives, regulatory executives and staff and anyone undertaking or supporting regulatory decisions.
Participants receive a certificate of attendance.
